Newlands Cricket

 

Newlands is arguably the most beautiful cricket ground in the world. With Table Mountain and Devil’s Peak offering the perfect back drop for this iconic cricket stage, Newlands has much to offer visitors and Capetonians alike.

Established in 1888, the ground boasts a rich history and has witnessed most of Cricket’s greatest players in action. Whether you come to a match, attend an event, the rich atmosphere of Newlands will charm you and capture your heart forever.

Members Pavilion Rules

  • Please adhere to the required dress code. Members and guests dressed inappropriately will not be granted access to the Pavilion.
  • Children under the age of 6 years may not enter the Members Pavilion.
  • Juniors under the age of 14 must be accompanied by an adult member of the Club.
  • Juniors are not permitted on the Long Room Level unless seated with an adult member of the Club and may not access their seat through the Long Room Bar.
  • On arrival please use your membership card to operate the Pavilion turnstiles. If your card does not work your account will be checked by the staff on duty before you are granted access.
  • The ramp is available for disabled persons only.
  • Please don’t give your card to any other persons to use (this includes family members). Card transfers are strictly forbidden.
  • Cell phones must be switched off or placed on silent in all areas of the Pavilion. If you wish to make a call you may do so from the main foyer on the ground floor.
  • Please do not smoke in the Members Pavilion. There are designated smoking areas outside the main entrance.
  • Please note that the Pavilion is fully catered. Food and drink may not be brought into the Pavilion.
  • Please do not move to or from your seat during an over.
